iRise Labs
The iRise technology sandbox
iRise Labs is a vehicle for concept testing new ideas as well as launching early stage products and solutions. We built this site to share these ideas that are not quite ready for prime time. It's our agile environment to test drive new concepts. Be prepared for some rough edges. Take this opportunity to offer input on products showcased here and those you want to see. We welcome your constructive feedback and encourage you to send comments - they go directly to the product teams working on them!
Over the coming months, iRise Labs will be launching a series of exciting new products and solutions aimed at expanding the business application visualization market.
Latest Experiments:
| Beta Program for the iRise Extension API |
iRise has launched a private beta program for the iRise Extension API, an interface definition that will enable third-party development of a broad spectrum of integrations and extensions to the iRise Enterprise Edition platform.
iRise customers and alliance partners will be able to leverage the iRise Extension API to extend the capabilities of the iRise platform and more tightly integrate it into their unique development processes and environments. At the same time third-party developers will also be able to create innovative commercial offerings for the iRise ecosystem; solutions that may then be co-marketed by iRise.
More Details...
With the iRise Extension API, two types of extensions can be created:
Visualization Component Plug-ins:
Visualization Component plug-ins allow new types of behavior to be visualized. They are available as basic building blocks after being imported into iRise Studio, a drag-and-drop modeling environment. Some plug-ins will be leverage live Web services, such as Google Maps, to allow simulation of mash-ups. Other visualization plug-ins may be industry- and technology-specific components for visualizing unique functionality and behavior of SAP®, Oracle®, or finance and healthcare applications, for example. Integration Plug-ins:
Integration plug-ins allow visualization assets and information stored on the iRise Definition Center to be shared with external systems and tools, and vice versa. Real-time, bi-directional synchronizations, as well as one-way, on-demand imports and exports are supported. The iRise Extensions API will allow integrations with, but is not limited to:
- Testing tools to trace requirements to test cases
- Reporting and analysis tools such as Business Objects
- The iRise Definition Center reporting engine for the creation of custom reports for large-scale user system administration, auditing, and project meta-data reporting
- Instant Messenger, email and RSS-feed platforms to accelerate collaboration
- HTML, UML, test case and code generation tools to jump-start downstream development activities
- Click-stream analysis tools for usability testing against simulations early in the application development cycle
iRise is seeking go-to-market partners to deliver commercial offerings in all of these areas, and others. Customers, ISVs and web developers interested in participating in the iRise Extensions API beta program should contact beta@irise.com for more information. |
