El Segundo, Calif. – August 4, 2008 – iRise®, the world’s leading visualization solutions company, today announced the immediate availability of iRise 7, the latest version of its market leading software visualization authoring and collaboration solution. iRise 7 includes SmartView™, a new feature that gives software definition professionals the capability to embed fully functional, working prototypes (visualizations) of applications within other popular third party requirements and collaboration tools, creating a seamless, end-to-end definition process for stakeholders and business analysts. The entire delivery process for software applications is dramatically accelerated as downstream organizations integrate visualizations into the tools they already use.
SmartView is a wrapper technology similar to popular YouTube video embedding. Using a wrapper supplied with iRise, definition and development teams are able to embed simulations directly into thin client, third party requirements management and collaboration tools like Confluence and Sharepoint. Users of those tools are then able to fully interact with ‘live’ simulations hosted on the iRise Definition Center server, enhancing understanding and speeding up the delivery process.
iRise 7 also includes powerful new capabilities for visualization authors to share and re-use definition assets across multiple projects. Simulations can now be imported into existing projects at the click of a button, saving hours of time that might have been spent recreating visualizations of complex interactions and designs. Using this new feature, libraries of reusable definition assets can now be easily set up and maintained using the iRise Definition Center, the critical component to global collaboration on software projects. Applications are not only delivered faster, but corporate design and branding standards can be easily enforced across different projects and disparate divisions.
“iRise 7 marks another important milestone in achieving our vision that every application will soon be simulated before it is built,” said Maurice Martin, president, chief operating officer and co-founder of iRise. “Business requirements are incredibly important reusable and long-lived assets inside organizations, unlike code which always changes. Capturing corporate business knowledge centrally is mission critical in a world that has companies seeing their workforces become more geographically dispersed and involving outside suppliers.”
iRise 7 also includes a number of usability enhancements that simplify and speed up the process of creating visualizations of complex application behavior, including sample data sheets, enhanced color palettes and new widget support.
Software Visualization
iRise offers a powerful way for businesses to quickly visualize and “test market” applications before a single line of code is written. For the first time, business software definition professionals can validate what they need, and then communicate their ideas to others using visualizations that replicate the exact look, feel and behavior of the proposed solution, taking the guesswork out of application definition. Just as computer-aided design (CAD) tools transformed the automotive, aerospace and semiconductor industries iRise is now transforming the global business application market.
With thousands of projects completed successfully, the value of visualization has proven to be enormous for businesses in highly competitive markets:
- Get to market twice as fast;
- Eliminate 30% of project costs;
- Ensure success of global sourcing strategies; and,
- Improve customer experience.
iRise can be used to visualize any software that has a user interface: new Web applications, portals, enhancements to existing systems, customizations to packaged implementations and even mobile applications.
Pricing and Availability
iRise can be downloaded at no charge for 30 day trials. Pricing starts at $6,995 per seat. For more information, click on: www.irise.com.
About iRise
iRise is the world’s leading provider of visualization software for business applications. Visualization is quickly becoming a critical competitive advantage for businesses to more effectively communicate their needs to technology teams and give everyone involved the ability to fully experience applications before they are built. Companies of all sizes like UPS, Wachovia, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Manpower, CompuCredit, Capgemini, and many others use iRise to “test drive” their applications before building, which accelerates time to revenue, improves customer experience, and drives costs down. At iRise, our vision is that by 2020, all business software will be visualized before being built, the same way that every car, airplane, and building is visualized today. Headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., iRise is backed by Morgan Stanley Venture Partners, and Deutsche Bank, and has sales offices across North America.
