GM to Visualize Software Applications before Development
IT outsourcing providers develop faster using visualization software.
GM used iRise to rationalize 200 separate dealer portals into one global reference platform for sales, parts and service. A worldwide stakeholder population of over 1,000 people was able to login to the iRise visualization, fully experience the proposed system and provide real-time feedback in a fraction of the time that old methods would have demanded. As a result, GM was able to complete the definition phase in record time and deliver the new portal with almost no rework. And the new system has streamlined business interactions and improved service.
GM has used iRise across a broad range of business applications including manufacturing, human resources and dealer-facing systems. iRise visualizations are now mandated as the standard way GM communicates and manages its network of global sourcing suppliers that implement business applications.
According to GM, visual modeling from iRise has reduced project duration an average, of 10 percent.
