Background
CompuCredit is a $1B+ powerhouse in the specialty finance and branded credit cards business – named by Forbes magazine in 2006 as the second fastest growing company in America. CompuCredit was in the process of delivering a series of new online bill presentment and payment systems designed to make it easier for customers to manage their credit card accounts.

Challenge
The company needed to maintain a high level of service for its customers and introduce an easy-to-use portal for card holders while shaving application delivery time in order to realize a competitive advantage and boost customer retention rates. CompuCredit’s past process involved defining new solutions with paper documents, static screen shots and whiteboard diagrams, which led to long review cycles and potential miscommunication between business and IT.

Result
Using visual, interactive iRise simulations, CompuCredit created a lifelike user experience that enabled stakeholders to provide immediate, high-value feedback on the proposed system before any code was written. The simulation was then quickly iterated until the business stakeholders agreed on the visual specification. The company achieved finality on project requirements for its first version of the new system in just two days, trimming substantial time off of the project timeline.

With iRise, CompuCredit cut requirements cycle time by 50% and reduced the overall project lifecycle by 25% to reach the marketplace with a top-rated application much sooner than was possible with their previous process.
